Travel Photo: Big Ben in London, England
©2012, David A. Porter
I snagged these photographs as Carol and I were strolling around the streets of London on a brisk spring morning in April of 2012.
Beyond our photograph of Big Ben, as the great bell in the tower of the Palace of Westminster has come to be known, I would also draw your eyes to the red phone booth in the left side of our photograph.
It’s hard to tell from our photograph, but there is a queue (that’s a line in British-speak) of folks waiting to snap a photograph of themselves in this phone box with Big Ben framed in the background.
Furthermore, folks were climbing upon the marble balustrade to the right of the red phone box to spread their wings in front of Big Ben.
If you want to join the millions who have shot photographs from this “iconic” London spot, then head to the corner of Birdcage Walk and Whitehall. That’s the second intersection you see in my photograph.
Have fun! :camera:
