Deseo at the Westin Kierland Resort and Spa ~ Scottsdale, Arizona – The fifth stop on our seven night Arizona Restaurant Week 2010 Tour was the fabulous Deseo in the Westin Kierland Resort and Spa.

As it so happens, right in the middle of Arizona Restaurant Week 2010, we were also busily enjoying a few nights at the Westin Kierland Resort and Spa right here in Scottsdale.

Therefore, rather than create duplicate posts about our stay and dining experience at Deseo, we will highlight the Deseo experience in our Westin Kierland feature in a few days.

• Behind Deseo’s concept and innovative cuisine is James Beard Award-Winning Chef Douglas Rodriquez who is widely-regarded as the inventor of Nuevo Latino Cuisine.  Rodriquez is one of America’s most honored chefs and has recently appeared on Bravo’s “Top Chef Masters”.
• In the kitchen is Chef Roberto Madrid who has trained in some of the Valley’s top kitchens and now stands at the helm of Deseo.
• We were absolutely dazzled by the heretofore unexplored tastes encountered in this Scottsdale gem.
