Holiday Festivities at Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale at Troon North
Scottsdale, AZ – Oct. 21, 2010 – Deck the halls in Five-Diamond luxury this Festive Season with Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale at Troon North, a Sonoran Desert retreat situated in the cooling foothills of Pinnacle Peak.
Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale will be decked out with all the holiday trimmings. Children and adults alike will marvel at the snow-capped gingerbread village on display in the lobby, showcasing more than 20 specialty houses and circled by a working train. Guests can enjoy complimentary hot roasted chestnuts and steaming apple cider, as well as warm gingerbread cookies in the lobby every day throughout December. Local high school and middle school choirs will perform complimentary holiday carols on select December dates.

Thanksgiving
Guests will forget about football and focus on feasting, when presented with the delectable holiday offerings at Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale this Thanksgiving. Crescent Moon restaurant will host an elaborate buffet on Thursday, Nov. 25, 2010. Executive Chef Mel Mecinas and his team will create traditional feast favorites with all of the trimmings, chef specialties from the carving station, pastas, soups and salads and – for the grand finale – a plentiful selection of holiday treats. The buffet will run from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., and the cost is $68 for adults, or $78 with champagne, and $35 for children ages 5 – 12.
Following the brunch buffet, a special four-course holiday dinner menu will be served in the Resort’s signature restaurant, Talavera. Guests will enjoy tempting tastes such as Celery Root & Périgord Truffle Bisque, Duck Confit Salad, and choice of Diestel Ranch Organic Turkey or Medallion of Buffalo Tenderloin. The dinner will run from 4 – 9 p.m., and the cost is $85 per person.
Throughout the holiday dates, guests of all ages can leave the snow behind and partake in fun-filled activities, unique to Four Seasons temperate locale. A few of the many Thanksgiving festivities include holiday cookie creations, sunset hikes to Pinnacle Peak trail, starazing, Native American arts and crafts, Southwest storytelling and stargazing.
Festive Season
Christmas Day, Dec. 25, 2010, marks further celebration in Talavera and Crescent Moon. The Crescent Moon Christmas Buffet will include traditional fare and delicious selections from salad, seafood, bread and carving stations, as well as a “chocolatier station” with fanciful dessert
creations. Children can feast on festive fare from the “Kiddie Table,” with holiday favorites tailored to the younger set. The buffet will run from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., and the cost is $68 for adults, or $78 with champagne, and $35 for children ages 5 –12.
For an elegant evening celebration, Talavera will feature a five-course plated dinner. Enjoy selections including Roasted Baby Beets and Goat Cheese, Braised Oxtail Raviolo, choice of entrée, and a holiday-themed Spiced Bread & Butter Pudding for dessert. The dinner will run from 6 – 10 p.m., and the cost is $95 per person.
Ring in the New Year
Greet 2011 with glamour and elegance at Talavera’s New Year’s Eve Celebration, Dec. 31, 2010, featuring a gala four- or six-course plated menu. As the clock strikes midnight, ring in the New Year with a complimentary champagne toast and party favors in Onyx Bar & Lounge, along with live entertainment. The cost for the evening is $80 for the first seating, and $150 for the second seating.
In Crescent Moon, guests will enjoy a four-course tasting menu with choice of entrée, a celebratory champagne toast at midnight in Onyx Bar & Lounge and festive party favors. The dinner buffet will run from 5:30 – 9:30 p.m., and the cost is $75 for adults inclusive of a champagne toast and party favors.
Guests can begin and end their festivities in Onyx Bar & Lounge, enjoying a celebratory toast and lights bites along with panoramic desert views. Children are invited to welcome 2011 with their very own New Year’s Eve party in Kids for All Seasons, including refreshments, games and other festive activities.
On New Year’s Day, nurse in the New Year with Crescent Moon’s breakfast buffet and “Hang Over” station, featuring a Bloody Mary bar. The buffet runs from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m., and the cost is $36 per person.
