We were recently asked to write a guest post (our 2nd!) about Memorial Day Weekend memories by the cool folks over at the AARP Blog.

Having spent the first 50 years of my 54 years in Michigan, the task was easy.  I immediately flashed back to when we owned a condominium in the “up north” town of Glen Arbor, Michigan.

In the article, I talk about climbing 40-story sand dunes, scouring the woods for morel mushrooms, small town holiday-weekend parades, and quiet walks with my bride of 25 years in the north Michigan national forests.
