Mt. Rainier ~ Seattle, Washington – We are about to construct the video that will be the centerpiece of the story of our Alaskan cruise with the Norwegian Cruise Line sailing up the Inside Passage.

However, before we proceed, we were told over and over that our crystal clear view of Mt. Rainier was not a common occurrence.

Therefore, I thought I would share this photograph of Mt. Rainier standing guard over the city of Seattle as we began making our way up Puget Sound on the Norwegian Pearl.

What can one say when you are privileged to view such a scene?  I generally find myself mute.

However, many thousands of years ago, King David put it this way:

“The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims his handiwork.” (Psalm 19:1)

I don’t know about you, but such scenes always get me to thinking about “first” things, and all the “second” things in my life seem to drift away for a bit.
