Today is Memorial Day and I thought I would share a scene I captured at the Vietnam War Memorial back in March of 2007.
This day is set aside for us as a nation to remember those who gave their lives in the service of our country. And I pray that we all recognize that our freedoms are enjoyed because of the millions of young men and women who were willing to put their lives on the line, and significantly so for those who sacrificed their lives for our freedoms.
I’m not aware of anyone in my immediate world who lost their lives in the service of our country, but I have countless friends and family that have served, and for that service, please accept my heartfelt thanks. Our nation exists in this dangerous world because of your courage and willingness to act.
And to those unknown to me who have sacrificed their lives, no greater love exists, and I thank you most of all.
