When Visiting Seattle, Take a Ferry to Bainbridge Island
Bainbridge Island, Washington – When visiting Seattle, we highly recommend that you hop aboard one of the hourly departing Washington Ferries and make your way over to Bainbridge Island.
The trip is a very short 28 minutes and will reward you with wonderful views of Puget Sound, the Seattle skyline, and idyllic Bainbridge Island.
Once you step off the ferry, the town of Winslow is a mere few blocks away. Baby boomers, and folks of all ages, will enjoy the town’s plethora of one-of-a-kind boutiques, art galleries and museums, restaurants and ice creameries, as well as a casual stroll through the marina.
We don’t have any photographs of our stroll through town as our visit was met with the town’s main street completely tore up. However, this controversial construction project evidently foisted on the local merchants should be complete and your stroll will now be even more beautiful.
The new sidewalks are complete and downtown winslow is alive again. Check with the chamber of commerce web site to see all the gallery walks, theatre and fun events scheduled.,
