Seattle Edgewater Hotel: Great Overnight Stay for Alaska Cruisers
Edgewater Hotel ~ Seattle, Washington – Every summer, throngs of baby boomers descend on Seattle for summer cruises of Alaska. And this summer, we were right there with them.
As Carol was doing her usual great job finding wonderful places for us to stay, she landed upon Seattle’s Edgewater Hotel.
The Edgewater Hotel is Seattle’s only luxury waterfront hotel, with dramatic views of Elliott Bay, the Olympic Mountains and the downtown skyline, and a location right on Pier 67 at the city’s dynamic doorstep.
The Edgewater Hotel has garnered an impressive array of awards including the AAA Four-Diamond Award.
However, the number one reason we picked the Edgewater Hotel was its proximity to our Norwegian Cruise Line dock. The Edgewater Hotel sits on Pier 67, while our cruise ship was docked at Pier 66.
In fact, when we opened the curtains in the morning, we were a bit taken back at just how close the Norwegian Pearl was to our room.
YIKES! That’s close.
Obviously, getting to our ship was very easy.
The other cool part of our stay was that Carol found us a sweet deal using PriceLine. Plus, when we got to the hotel, we upgraded to an ocean-view for $50!
We highly recommend the Edgewater Hotel for its proximity to cruise ships, fun things to do along the waterfront, and a wee bit of pampering to boot.
