St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands – it is the first day of our 25th wedding anniversary tour of the Caribbean Islands, and we fully intended to spend our first day luxuriating around the Ritz-Carlton pool and soaking in some sun.

While sitting in my comfy lounge chair at the pool, reading Paul L. Maier’s historical novel Pontius Pilate, this iguana stopped by to get some sun as well.

After spending the whole day at the pool, we enjoyed dinner at the Ritz-Carlton’s casual Great Bay Lounge.  We enjoyed sushi, and then shared a delicious preparation of fresh grouper.

After dinner, there happened to be a full moon so we concluded our evening with a romantic walk on the moonlit beach.
