Travel Photo: Exploring Lake Powell’s Navajo Canyon Walls

As a travel photographer, few experiences have left us in such complete spell-bound wonder as when we traveled by boat through the soaring Navajo sandstone walls of Lake Powell.
I caught another baby boomer traveler with her camera at the ready as we slowly motored through shadows contrasted by the bright sunlight atop the cliffs, and as our every sound echoed off the passing walls of the canyon.
I captured this photograph around 10:00 in the morning after two hours of jaw-dropping Lake Powell landscapes completely overwhelmed our senses.
As we entered this canyon, a hush came over the crowd as though we had entered into one of God’s most sacred displays of his creation.
Have you ever experienced Lake Powell? If not, it simply must be on your bucket list!
