Travel Photo: Rainbow Falls in Hilo, Hawaii

We captured this photograph of Rainbow Falls at the Wailuku River State Park in Hilo, Hawaii.
The falls drop 80 feet over a natural lava cave that locals believe to be the home of Hina, an ancient Hawaiian goddess.
Rainbow Falls attained its name because on sunny mornings, rainbows can be seen in the mist thrown up by the water fall. If you look closely, you’ll see that we were able to catch the rainbow in our photograph.
