Travel Photo: Shopkeeper in Vienne, France

When I am out and about with my telephoto lens, I am always on the lookout for an interesting face to capture.  While some eye contact would have made this photograph perhaps a little more interesting, it does leave you wondering what she is doing.  Right?

Well, to solve the mystery, this gal was working behind the counter in a Vienne, France street market sweet shop and she was putting together a lovely plate of sweets for a customer. Wouldn’t you just love to sit down and visit with her for a spell?  I wonder what those eyes have seen?  How might her view of the world be different from mine? Or perhaps better yet, what do those chocolate brownies she’s serving taste like? 🙂
