Viking Launches New Expedition Cruises to Antarctica, the Arctic, Great Lakes & Canada, and Grand Journeys
Carol and I were part of a select group to attend Viking’s Expedition Cruises launch event in Beverly Hills, California, last week.
Viking has enjoyed a remarkable rise to the top since its humble beginnings in 1997. Today, Viking has a 50% North America market share in river cruises. Further, Viking is number one in luxury ocean cruises amassing a 24% market share in ocean cruises in just five short years.
Roaming Boomers Travel Services has grown to be the number two booking agents for Viking in the world.
And what we find remarkable is that all of our clients come home raving fans of Viking. If they are unhappy, it is the airlines, the weather, or perhaps the river levels in Europe. We very seldom hear complaints about Viking.

We are very excited to have Viking’s expedition cruises in our cruise collection. You can book these cruises today for expedition cruises that begin sailing in 2022.
And in the for what’s it’s worth department, we’re still hearing rumblings about Viking offering cruises in the Galapagos Islands and the Mississippi River. We’ll keep our eyes open for those future announcements.
